Your Total Guide To Business

Bowman House (Business Sponsor)
Claire Brewerton

Claire Brewerton of Virtual Business Centre is looking forward to a great 2024!

January is in full swing and we’ve been talking to small businesses about their plans for 2024.

Up today is Claire Brewerton who is the co-founder of The Virtual Business Centre based in Brinkworth and provides outsourced services to many business owners including telephone answering, call management, diary management and much more.

What big things are you looking forward to in 2024?
We are looking to develop our training courses on “How To Answer The Phone” as well as continuing to practise what we preach with our inbound telephone answering service.

Can you share your business ethics for 2024? How do you want your brand to come across?
Business ethics refers to the moral principles and values that govern the behaviour of individuals and organisations in the business world .It involves making decisions that are fair, honest, and responsible, and that take into account the interests of customers, employees, shareholders, and the wider community  I would like our brand to be seen as a company that practises treating employees fairly, being transparent about business operations, and minimising the environmental impact of business activities.

What are you planning to do differently, or better, in 2024?

  1. As a business, we need to be better at setting clear goals in terms of the path of the business that we have been running for over 20 years, so we will be looking at  embracing technology to improve our website and social media presence, and collecting more feedback from customers
  2. Taking up more networking and keeping up with the latest trends and developments so we stay competitive and identify new opportunities.
  3. Focus on sustainability – we are considering ways to further reduce our carbon footprint, minimise waste, and promote sustainable practices.

What are you doing for charity or community this year?
In January we will sit down with the team and look at what charities are important to us – and what we can do to support them over the coming 12 months.

There are multiple ‘awareness’ days & weeks & months in January 2024 – could you pick just one and say why you’ll be engaging with it.

*January 28 – Data Privacy Day
As a business we relay to our clients a lot of customer information so we are very careful with the data once it has been relayed to our clients, we go above and  beyond data protection best practice . All data is encrypted by our own systems when not being processed. As a business we stress to all our clients and staff the importance of protecting their personal information .

Any special offers for January or February 2024 you’d like to mention?
If you would like to beta test our training course on “How to Answer The Telephone” please let me know on [email protected]

Anything else you’d like to say?
2023 was a difficult year for us both personally and professionally so we look forward to making it a much better 2024.
