Claire Brewerton of the Virtual Business Centre has a busy summer!

It’s almost the end of July and the school holidays have started! We’ve been speaking to businesses to find out what this month will bring for them.

Up today is Claire Brewerton who is the co-founder of The Virtual Business Centre based in Brinkworth and provides outsourced services to many business owners including telephone answering, call management, diary management and much more.

What are your plans for July in your business?
July is a super busy month for us because we offer holiday cover as a service so at this time we answer the telephones for people who are off enjoying their holidays.

What are your personal plans for this month?
We do try and take time together as a family and we are lucky enough to live within easy reach of the coast in Wales and all the lovely Cotswold towns nearby. It has been a difficult year for us personally so we are very much looking forward to a family break.

Do you like sport – and if so do any sporting tournaments or events stand out for you this month?
After running in a charity run last year, I signed up for the London Marathon so I am keeping that as something to aim for – I didn’t expect to get offered a space so I am feeling a bit twitchy.  I also enjoy watching a bit of Wimbledon, as much for the people spotting as the tennis!

As a consumer have you visited a local business, bought their products or services and thought ‘I must recommend them’! If so here’s your chance, what business would you recommend this summer?
Jackdaws Café in Malmesbury because they always have a friendly smile and a good coffee. There’s no better way to start the day.

Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
This is peak holiday season. Don’t let your phones just go to voicemail when we can offer a friendly voice and a great service, so your customers feel valued and listened to. We cover every type of business from roofers to huge events companies. No business is too small for our services and we give the same quality of service to someone running a business on their own or a huge household name. All calls to us are important.

Anything else you’d like to say?
Get outside and take a break, we have a beautiful country with so much to offer and even a short walk a day to take it all in will do you good.  Build in regular breaks from screens and you will notice the difference.  We have a menagerie here at Virtual and our staff often pop out to chat to the goats and lambs at break times!
