COTSWOLD CHALLENGE WINNER SHOWCASES HIS FAMOUS BIRDBOXES AT ADVENT MARKET

Sam Groves, who was the Innovation winner in The Cotswold Challenge 2020 competition, will be showcasing and selling his winning birdboxes at Cirencester’s Advent Market on Saturday November 27.

Sam, who was one of over 500 entrants, scooped the top prize of £500 and used his winnings to boost his fledgling business. 

TV presenter and Cotswold farmer, Adam Henson, was one of the judges of the competition and was so impressed with the design of the nest boxes for robins, tits and sparrows that he bought some of them to put up at the Cotswold Farm Park that features regularly on the BBC1 programme, Countryfile.

Sam has now increased his product-line to also include hedgehog boxes and will be displaying all of his home-made well-crafted boxes in Cirencester Market Place at the Advent Market. Pop along and find him on his stall under the banner displaying his Cotswold Challenge winning logo.

The Cotswold Challenge was born out of lockdown in 2020 when students were not able to take their A-Levels or GCSEs and were unsure whether or not they would be able to go to college or university in the September of that year.
