REVIEW: Kings Head Hotel Sunday Lunch Menu

On a charming December afternoon, we had the delightful opportunity to venture to Cirencester and indulge in a scrumptious Sunday Lunch at the exquisite Kings Head Hotel.

Warmly welcomed at the entrance, we were gracefully guided upstairs to the MBB Brasserie within the Kings Head Hotel. There, we were escorted to our table, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience.

Seated comfortably, our waitress extended a warm welcome, presenting us with the enticing Sunday lunch menu. As we perused the options, we placed our drink orders - a refreshing diet coke and a soda water with lime.

Upon careful consideration of the menu's tempting offerings, we ultimately settled on the delectable Roast Chicken and the scrumptious Huntsman Longhorn Roast Sirloin for our main courses. Each dish was artfully accompanied by roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, a medley of seasonal vegetables, a perfectly risen Yorkshire pudding, all elegantly bathed in savory gravy.

As we awaited our orders, we leisurely sipped our drinks, observing the restaurant gradually bustling with activity. To our delightful surprise, the Kings Head Hotel had arranged a captivating close-up magic show for the restaurant to enjoy during their meals. During our anticipation for the food, the magician, Alex Robertson, approached our table to show us his enchanting card tricks. Among his impressive tricks was the mesmerising transformation of fire into a lollipop. Additionally, he astounded us with a captivating close-up card trick, leaving the me and my mum thoroughly spellbound by his magic!

Our meal arrived promptly, and we were excited to get tucked in. The Roast Chicken was cooked to perfection and the Huntsman Longhorn Roast Sirloin proved exceptionally tender and succulent. The Sunday lunch at the Kings Head Hotel surpassed our expectations, making it one of the finest dining experiences we've encountered. Every element of the meal complemented each other seamlessly, providing us with genuine enjoyment.

After clearing our plates, we turned our attention to the dessert menu and opted for Chocolate and Mixed Berries Ice Cream, along with the Pear Tarte Tatin. When the desserts arrived, our delight continued as they matched the high standards set by the main courses. The sweet indulgence of the ice cream, coupled with the exceptional pear tarte tatin, truly impressed us. Both courses at the Kings Head Hotel stood out.

Considering the excellent service, entertaining close-up magic, and the delicious array of dishes we enjoyed, there's no doubt we'll be returning for more at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester.
