Former Boss of Avenir, Andy Tow Joins Excalibur as CCO

Tow joins Excalibur, a Vodafone Platinum Partner, as Chief Commercial Officer three months after departing from airtime distributor Avenir.

Andy Tow, the Ex Managing Director of Avenir Telecom UK has joined Vodafone Platinum Partner Excalibur Communications as Chief Commercial Officer.

Tow, formerly head of Vodafone's indirect sales, will work directly underneath Excalibur CEO James Phipps at the Swindon-based company. Excalibur is a company with a mobile connection base of in excess of 35,000 connections and will spearhead the company's sales and marketing.

Avenir Telecom’s UK airtime distribution base of 60,000 was bought by Chess in June, who then renamed the business Chess Partner Services, and Tow departed the following month.
