"There is no time for babies!" - Swindon Town's Luke Williams

Luke Williams has issued a defiant stance on his feelings regarding Tim Sherwood becoming Swindon Town's director of football.

Swindon Town's head coach Luke Williams was asked a plethora of questions regarding him and his role now that Sherwood has been appointed as the Robins' director of football, but Williams is perfectly fine with it.

Assistant manager Ross Embleton was sporting an earpiece to communicate messages from Sherwood via sporting director Seamus Brady, both in the stands.

Williams was quizzed on how that scenario was going, to which Williams replied 'seamlessly.'

"It is really seamless, to be honest," Williams said.

"Ross is picking up messages and he gave me the message or he takes responsibility to jump up and we are all very secure and we are not people that are easily offended.

"We recognise that it is a team approach to this and there is no time for babies in this industry, there is no time for egos, there is no time for people feeling too proud, so it worked seamlessly well.

"If that is something that continues, we have already got to grips to it and we are happy to run with it.

"If Tim is going to be on the bench, that is fine, if Tim wants me to watch from upstairs, that is also fine."

When asked whether the situation is a blessing for Williams, with blame being shared, he responded:

"I am happy to have all the responsibility. I think those people who have been able to get to know me a little bit better, through the media, or by talking to me know that I have not got a huge ego.

"The team is always first, the masses come before the individual so I do not have any problem with this situation."
