PREVIEW: Swindon Town v Eastleigh (FA Cup first round replay)

Swindon Town approach their FA Cup first round replay at home to Eastleigh buoyed by a resounding 3-0 win over Charlton on Saturday.

The Charlton victory was the first game since ex-Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood was announced as the club's director of football and the Robins will be hoping they can take that momentum into the FA Cup replay tonight (Tuesday) which kicks off at 19:45.

Swindon are still nursing a few injuries.

Captain Nathan Thompson is out for the forseeable future due to his hamstring problems returning, but there is good news for long-term absentee Jon Obika who has returned to full training.

It is not clear whether the Eastleigh game is too soon for Obika to get match time, but he is being monitored by head coach Luke Williams and Sherwood, who now picks the team.

James Brophy, who has struggled with breathing problems during the season is currently waiting on a cardiologist to trace if there is anything wrong with his heart, but the club are more than happy to be patient with the young left-back to ensure he can be as healthy as possible.

Like Obika, Jordan Young has now returned to full training, but fellow young forward Jordan Stewart is currently awaiting surgery on his knee that has kept him out of first team action since early September.

Luke Norris meanwhile is having trouble with his ankle. He played through the pain on Saturday, but it is unclear at this stage whether he will be used on Tuesday.

In terms of suspensions, Swindon are in the clear, with Tom Smith's one-match ban coming in the EFL Trophy, but Conor Thomas will miss the trip to Rochdale if he gets booked during the Eastleigh encounter.

Eastleigh meanwhile will be without boo boy target James Constable, who is a hero at Swindon's fierce rivals Oxford, due to picking up his fifth booking of the season in the 1-1 draw with York City.

Former Swindon striker Jamie Cureton is cup-tied, as is Ross Stern and Derby loanee Alefe Santos is ineligble too.

Jake Howells and Ryan Cresswell are both ruled out with knee injuries and Adam Dugdale is also ruled out for replay.

The team that progresses will face Dagenham and Redbridge or Halifax at home on Sunday, December 4.

Dagenham and Halifax are also playing their replay tonight in Halifax.
