PLAYER RATINGS: Swindon Town (1) v (0) Stevenage FC

SWINDON TOWN needed a 90th minute goal from the leagues top scorer Eoin Doyle to wrap up all three points at the County Ground as the Robins got back to winning ways with a one-nil victory over Stevenage. Total Sport Swindon's Ryan Walker gives his Robins player ratings.

GK: Steven Benda (7)

Didn't have much to do in the first half but collected crosses well and did a good job to come off his line quickly on the stroke of half-time as Stevenage looked through on goal.

RB: Rob Hunt (6.5)

Was his usual consistent self at right-back getting forward down the wings well but also got back to stop crosses in from the right. Has formed a good relationship with Isgrove on the right but must improve some of his deliveries after too many were put close to the keeper.

CB: Zeki Fryers (6)

Back in the side after his injury layoff and looked rusty at times. Partnering Baudry, Fryers was given the responsibility of being the ball-playing centre-back. Was caught out of position at times and a lapse of concentration in passing put his side under unnecessary pressure. Was booked in the 77th minute.

CB: Mathieu Baudry (C) (6)

Won the ball well in defence when required but had very little to do throughout. Prone to playing the odd risky ball when put under pressure by the Stevenage attackers.

LB: Dion Donohue (6.5)

Added width to Town's play and added threat in attack with his balls into the box. Didn't have much to do defensively wise in the first-half or the second. A mediocre performance in an underwhelming match under the floodlights.

CM: Anthony Grant (7.5)

Won the ball back countless times for Swindon in the first-half and protected the makeshift defence well. Spread the ball with ease throughout the game and was the key link before defence and attack. An influential performance from the midfielder.

CM: Michael Doughty (5)

Got on the ball frequently in the first-half but did very little to find gaps in the Stevenage back-line. Played a lot of balls side-ways and backwards with the odd ball forward struggling to find its target. Improved in the second period of play but when presented with chances to shoot opted to play a pass. Not his best performance and must do more.

LM: Kaiyne Woolery (5)

Back in the starting line-up and was very poor in the first-half. Got lots of the ball deep in the Stevenage half but was too often caught between two minds and ended up conceding possession. Failed to impress much to the dismay of the home crowd and was subbed off early into the second-half.

RM: Lloyd Isgrove (7)

Took a while to grow into the game after starting on the left-hand side before being moved to the right-wing where he made more of an impact. Looked his usual silky self dancing with the ball at his feet and put some good crosses into the box that Swindon couldn't make the most of.

Continued to push on in the second-half but just couldn't find the breakthrough for Swindon. Went on a mazing run in the 52nd minute and looked to be certain to

ST: Jerry Yates (6)

Should've put Swindon ahead just after the half-hour mark with his effort going wide of the post. Provided good support to Doyle but didn't do enough to make an impact.

ST: Eoin Doyle (7.5)

Tried tirelessly to get Swindon ahead in the first half but to no avail. Had a header on target in the 23rd minute but it was straight at the Stevenage keeper who saved easily. Was offered little back-up from his midfielders. Continued to press in the later stages and was rewarded with a brilliantly taken goal in the 90th minute to wrap up the win.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

Diallang Jaiyesimi (6.5)

Made an impact from the substitutes bench adding pace and quality to Swindon's attack. Nearly put Swindon ahead in the closing moments of the match but was denied by a brilliant double-save from Stevenage keeper Paul Farman.

Gabriel Zakuani (N/A)

Came on for the final minutes to sure up the Town defence.
