February is the month of love and Chris Hunt Skelley MBE PLY is sharing his love story!

Chris Hunt Skelley MBE PLY shares his love story with us today. Chris is a British Paralympic gold medalist judoka who competes in the visually impaired under 100 kg category. Chris is married to Louise Hunt Skelley PLY. Together they live with their puppy Milo near Swindon and as February is the month of love Chris wanted to share his own love story with us.

My love story is with Louise Hunt Skelley PLY. She is a very special lady because she gets me, she understands who I am and it even helps that she is an athlete herself which means she understands the dedication and the commitment that you have to put in to become a Paralympian.

To be able to find someone who you can share that journey with and who understands the choices you have to make and the decisions you have to stick by is very special. For me it’s more than that. It’s finding a partner who just understands who you are and loves you for who you are, who you can have a laugh with, who you can cry with and who you can explore the world with and I’m very lucky to have that amazing lady in my life.

I couldn’t ask for a better friend, I couldn’t ask for a better wife and I couldn’t ask for a better soul partner in Louise. She is my everything and our love story happened when neither of us expected it to!

The two of us were trying to concentrate on our careers and she just came into my life and made it absolutely amazing. We’ve never looked back, we’re planning a future together and I’m very lucky to have her as my partner in crime for the rest of my life.
