More jobs and sector innovation was the name of the game for Shadow Business Secretary Chuka Umunna today, as he and Labour's Parliamentary Election candidates for Swindon visited Johnson Matthey's highly advanced Fuell-Cell plant, as part of Labour's General Election campaign.

The factory, situated in Lydiard Fields, produces fuel cells and fuel cell components for cars and buildings all over the world, and was the first in the world of its kind. With sustainable sources of power being at the forefront of science and business, this factory definitely set to grow.

Jobs are a key battleground in the race for Downing Street, and the significance of Johnson Matthey's highly successful plant, and of Swindon being a successful and fast-growing economy meant that this was the perfect place for Umunna to make his party's case. You can be pretty certain that other party reps will be doing the same in the coming weeks.
