Jodie Fraser of Fraser Allen Estate Management is looking forward to 2024

January is in full swing and we’ve been talking to small businesses about their plans for 2024.

Today we're talking to Jodie Fraser, founder and CEO of Fraser Allen Estate Management which is an award-winning block management specialist in the residential sector. With their head office in Cheltenham, the team also covers Bristol, Bath and Wiltshire.

What big things are you looking forward to in 2024?
On January 15th, I joined the wonderful Janet Shreeve of Shreeve Care Services as Director of Operations. We’ve combined the world of block management with the care sector.

So many individuals want to remain in their home for as long as possible, and living in a leasehold building can, at times, hinder that wish.

As block managers we need to be open to the possibility that our residents require additional care and how we can adjust our procedures to assist them with this.

This year is a Leap Year. Does that mean anything to you?
With one extra day in the calendar, as a business, it gives a little more time to do our routine site inspections and maintenance checks.

Can you share your business ethics for 2024? How do you want your brand to come across?
In 2024, Fraser Allen Estate Management remains committed to upholding our business ethics.
We prioritise professionalism, sincerity, and reliability in all interactions and aim to ensure transparent communication, client trust, and consistent service excellence.

It is important to us that our brand aims to be a beacon of trust and integrity within the block management industry.

What are you planning to do differently or to do better in 2024?
We’re planning to:

  • Enhance Customer Engagement: At Fraser Allen Estate Management, we're committed to deepening our client relationships. In 2024, we aim to foster more meaningful interactions, ensuring our professional, sincere, and reliable ethos shines through in every interaction.
  • Technological Advancements: Embrace innovative solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Sustainable Practices: As agents of the properties we manage, we will focus on implementing environmentally conscious practices. Striving for sustainability aligns with our commitment to professionalism and reliability, contributing positively to both our communities and the planet.

What are you doing for charity or community this year?
As Corporate Ambassadors for The Hollie Gazzard Trust, we actively fund raise throughout the year for this incredible charity.

2024 marks 10 years since the creation of the charity, and also 10 years since Hollie’s horrific murder.

This year will be a big year of sport – most notably the Olympics and Paralympics? If you enjoy these events can you name those moments you watched/experienced which have stayed with you? Why?
The most memorable for me is London 2012 when Jessica Ennis achieved gold. It was an incredible moment to watch. I remember watching the Olympics with my dad when I was younger and was very athletic at school (following in his footsteps).

There are multiple ‘awareness’ days & weeks & months in January 2024 – could you pick just one and say why you’ll be engaging with it. Feel free to choose your own ‘day’ or ‘week’ or ‘month’.
*Veganuary
*Dry January
*January 2 – World Introvert Day
*January 15 – Blue Monday
*January 28 – Data Privacy Day
*January 31 – Inspire Your Heart with Art Day

21st January was Race Against Dementia Day, which is dedicated to raising funds to help beat dementia.

The aim is to raise £127,000 for Race Against Dementia charity because 1 in 3 people born today will die of dementia.

That is the equivalent of 127,000 babies born in the UK every day and the goal is to raise £1 for each of these babies.

Anything else you’d like to say?
I’m excited to share my brand-new podcast Beyond Four Walls, which can be found on your favourite platforms. The podcasts delves into the world of block management, but also talks about the importance of wellbeing and the effects of bullying, as well as taking to some wonderful guests.
