Budget Could Bring Significant Implications For Businesses
Swindon’s leading chartered accountants Banks BHG says that Chancellor George Osborne could be planning some major changes in the Budget set to be unveiled on March 16.
Banks BHG director Neil Elsden said the Budget could have wide-ranging implications for businesses and individuals alike.
“Capital Gains Tax may be affected; Entrepreneurs’ Relief is already being attacked on Phoenix-type arrangements and there could be further changes to come,” he said. “It would be good to see a major overhaul of business rates, but I don’t expect to see anything here other than some minor tinkering.
“Given the EU referendum it is likely to be the most political Budget in recent times with plenty of doom and gloom predicted by the Chancellor if we vote Brexit.”
Banks BHG will once again be hosting its popular post-Budget event, with expert analysis of all the announcements and what they mean for Swindon businesses. It will take the form of free breakfast on Thursday March 17, from 7.30-9am.
Please note that booking is required and be done via www.banksbhg.com or by emailing [email protected].
