Snapped: Dragon Boat Race

On Thursday the 29th June, an armada of Dragons descended on Coat Water, but all in the name of charity. It was of course the Rotary Club of Swindon Phoenix' annual Swindon Dragon Boat Race. TGtS were present to see the action...

It was a supurb event full of activity for everyone, with the added bonus of helping out assorted charities and good causes.

This time round, the Dragon Boat was open to anyone who wanted to take part, so anyone wanting to to take part in future is encouraged apply.

This wasnt just an event for the people taking part, the Dragon Boat Race also include artd and craft stalls, a health & wellbeing zone, a food festival, a raffle, a barbecue, a bar, children’s entertainment including rides - and of course Coate Waters very special, ride on Train rides, the pitch & putt course and crazy golf,  the superb children’s splash pool and so on, so there were things for all the family there.
