Swindon Welcomes Back Bistro Les Chats

Swindon’s diners will soon be welcoming back the town’s much-loved Bistro Les Chats.

The authentic French restaurant, that graced Wood Street, closed its doors to the public back in October. Following a very welcome announcement this week, the eatery is set to re-open on Friday the 13th of November.

The new look bistro will see a new twist and continental flair served up to its diners thanks to new Chef Alessandro Gianati.

Gianati has over 10 years’ experience including three years’ training under Michelin-starred Paolo Frosio.

Joining Gianati will be Chef Peter Matysek who previously worked at Bistro Les Chats before joining Los Gatos last year.

Shareen Campbell and Phil Saunter, owners of Bistro Les Chats, pictured, commented: “Just five weeks ago we very reluctantly closed the door on the bistro, to concentrate on Los Gatos Tapas Bar. In the last month, we have been overwhelmed with good will and support, countless enquiries as to the future of the restaurant and entreaties to reopen it as soon as possible. Many people have told us how much they miss it, while continuing to support us in Los Gatos with its very different style. The message we received loud and clear was ‘Swindon needs Bistro Les Chats.’

The Bistro will be open for lunch and dinner on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and diners can see the new menus and reserve tables online now at www.leschats.co.uk.
