New Seafood Restaurant Coming to Old Town

The Royal Oak Old Town has revealed plans to expand their premises into the adjoining property of their existing Devizes Road location.

The expansion follows a hugely successful four years for the business, which boasts over 130 different gin offerings, fresh oysters & seafood on their menu, live sports, as well as weekly jazz and blues events.

On news of the opening, owner Dan Field said, “I’m delighted that we’ve managed to secure the building, and work has already begun on transforming the empty shell into an extension of what we have already created here at The Royal Oak.”

“The support from our loyal customer base and the community of Old Town has been fantastic, and we’re delighted that we can continue to offer fresh seafood dishes, but now in a slightly different restaurant-feel setting.”

The expansion will also bring a range of new employment opportunities to Old Town, with no less than 10 additional placements being offered for kitchen, front of house and waiting staff.

Whilst work has already begun on the developments, it is expected that the new restaurant will be open for business in October 2019.
