SHOP COTSWOLDS TEMPTING IN LOCAL PRODUCERS
Shop Cotswolds, the latest online shopping hub, has gone live. The new venture is tempting in local food and drink producers in the Cotswolds region with an introductory offer for free annual membership if they sign up before the end of May.
The online hub is designed to make it easy for shoppers to find goods and experiences created by producers in the Cotswolds area. At the same time, it will support local food and drink businesses by providing a new shop window to generate sales and create awareness of their products and experiences.
The new go-to hub will allow consumers and tourists to shop local and find the Cotswold’s best independent local food and drink producers. All locally sourced and crafted, from a diverse and wide range of local sellers, all in one place. With producers such as Shipton Mill, Meg Rivers, Little Oak Vineyard and Beckfords Rum already on board, Shop Cotswolds looks set for further success.
According to Co-Founder, Nicola Hardy, “All the data shows that the Cotswolds is one of the most popular destinations in the UK when it comes to quality of food and drink, history and heritage and the array of independent shops.”
“There’s so much more on offer than delicious food and drink products. Many businesses offer tours and workshops so you can experience first-hand some of the local produce, or you can buy them as gifts” added Caroline Topping, Co-Founder.
“We identified a gap in the market,” Nicola continued. “Shop Cotswolds will allow consumers to find local food and drink on one easy to use site. This will help drive traffic for producers, allow shoppers to buy local reducing food miles and, ultimately, bring long term benefits to the region’s economy. We are very excited about the potential for Shop Cotswolds.”
