Hill, who scored 11 points in his 23 games for the Tigers this season, coincidentally joins the Swindon roster as they prepare to face what is his now his old club Telford on Saturday at Hills' new home of the Link Centre.
He iced in 574 regular games in his career and won the EIHL in 2015 with the Sheffield Steelers which will bring much-needed experience to the Swindon set-up.
Head coach Aaron Nell, who has a number of his squad injured - including himself, said of the signing:
“I’m delighted to have Phil on board. He’s a player with a lot of experience and plays the game hard. He will add much needed grit into our line-up.
“As a team we needed to have a shake up as the last three games haven’t been at the level we expect. Bringing Phil in will help our team massively”.
