Swindon Town boss David Flitcroft "doesn't want to keep bouncing back"

Swindon manager David Flitcroft believes Town can recover from Tuesday night's defeat to Lincoln on Saturday, but it is a run of wins he wants.

Following last night's 1-0 home loss against Lincoln, Swindon have a record of win, loss, win, loss, win, loss in their last six matches.

Their inconsistent form sees them top of the League Two away table, but lowly 19th in the home table.

"It's up to me to get the players through this spell at home," Flitcroft said. "Stick with us.

"When we've lost one, we've needed to win to stay in and around it, we've always been able to do that."

Swindon are 10th at the moment, two points off a play-off spot and seven adrift of the top three automatic promotion places.

"We've always been able to bounce back really well, but I don't want to keep bouncing back, I want to drive forward and get into that top [seven] and keep driving forward and that's the most frustrating thing for all of us that we've not been able to do that.

"I said to the players before the game: it makes the Mansfield result a really good result if we back this up with a win and we haven't been able to."

It's Wycombe next for Swindon, at home again on Saturday, as Flitcroft will again be hoping to improve the form in Wiltshire.
