PRESS CONFERENCE LIVE: Swindon Town v Arsenal U21s

Good afternoon and welcome to Total Sport Swindon's live press conference blog ahead of Swindon's opening EFL Trophy game against Arsenal U21s at the County Ground tomorrow evening. Join our reporter Ryan Walker from 1pm as he speaks to STFC Assistant Coach Scott Lindsey ahead of tomorrow's cup clash.

1:17PM

That concludes today's press conference, we will have more reaction and pre-match build-up to follow.

1:17PM

We finishing by asking Scott Lindsey for a comment on the scenes away at Stevenage at the weekend but the club stopped him from answering.

1:15PM

Lindsey on playing Arsenal:

"It's very different to what we play against most weeks in League Two. There is a physical element in league 2 and there are teams that put you under immense pressure in a different way. Against Arsenal and a lot of these youth teams they will have a lot of the ball and try to attack you in a different method and that will be good for our learning. It will be an interesting show because we play in a similar way to them."

1:11PM

Lindsey on EFL Trophy:

"It's the most important game because it's the next one. We have prepared a lot for this and it's an opportunity for players who haven't played many minutes. We want to go as far as we can in every competition and we go out to win every game we play in. The preparation is the same as a league game."

1:10PM

Lindsey on Ellis Iandolo:

"Since I was last here he has grown up a lot in terms of age and physicality. He is a physical specimen who has so many qualities and what he offers the team. He can play in a number of positions, works hard in training and he offers a lot."

1:08PM

Lindsey on youth selection:

"The under-18s have been involved with us quite a bit and they will be in and around the squad for tomorrow night."

1:07PM

Lindsey on being at Swindon:

"It's great there Is nothing like it and the supporters have been on a different level. Everything is positive at the moment following our start to the season and it is unbelievable what we have done and how far we have come in a short period of time. It's a great club to be at and I'm very happy to be back here."

1:06PM

Lindsey on Swindon set-pieces:

"I spend a lot of time looking at opposition set-pieces and trying to work out ways to stop them hurting us. There are a lot of teams in this league who like to put balls into the box and we do a lot of analysis on that. We also work lots on how we can be a threat from set-pieces and then we take that out onto the training pitch."

1:04PM

Lindsey on team selection:

"There are certain restrictions we have to follow with team selection so it will be a mixed team with some youngsters involved as well.

Jordan Lyden and Mathieu Baudry are still in early parts of recovery so they won't be involved tonight."

1:04PM

Lindsey on Arsenal:

"They are a big squad and have a lot of numbers to pick from. We watched a few of their games over the last few days but in terms of personnel we aren't sure what team they will play.

It should be a good spectacle in terms of both teams wanting to play in the right manner."

1:02PM

We are in and are underway.

12:59PM
