Swindon 52 King's Lynn 38: Rider ratings

A resurgent Swindon Robins saw the Wiltshire club battle back from a tough opening to beat the King’s Lynn Stars 52-38 in a hard fought victory. Total Sport’s Ryan Walker was on hand to give his Robins rider ratings.

Jason Doyle (C): 6

A tough night for the Swindon Robins skipper saw Jason Doyle ride to 7 points. Track conditions didn’t make the Aussie superstars night any easier, but Doyle played a big part in the nights events riding to an impressive 4-2 race victory in heat 13 to all but secure a Swindon victory.

Rohan Tungate: 9

A mixed season for Swindon’s so called ‘Pocket Rocket’ has seen some question the racing abilities of Rohan Tungate. However after riding to a fantastic 11 points against the King’s Lynn Stars on Thursday evening has extinguished any doubts. Quick gating and smart fast riding saw Tungate dominate most heats and was a key part of the much-needed Robins victory.

Nick Morris: 8

An average night for the Swindon Robins number three heat leader, saw Nick Morris earn 8 points from his four rides. A slow start saw fan favourite Morris finish third in his opening two rides before two race victories in heats ten and fourteen ensured Morris went home with a respectable score. Good riding on the night and he will continue to push on from here.

Josh Grajczonek: 9

Five days after a difficult World Cup Final for Australian Josh Grajczonek saw the three-time Elite League winner bounce back to his best on Thursday evening. Looking fast all night saw Grajczonek ride to a highly impressive 13 points and secure his place back in one of Swindon’s heat leader roles. Powerful, tactical and fast are all words that can describe Grajczonek’s performance on the night, and Swindon fans will be hoping for more of the same as the playoffs edge closer.

Justin Sedgmen: 4

A night to forget for Swindon’s Justin Sedgmen saw the 24 year old struggle with bike problems on what was a frustrating evening for the Robins number five. With just one win to his name in heat ten pretty much summed up the night for Sedgmen as he struggled for pace during the meeting. A top talented rider no doubt and hopefully just an off night for Justin Sedgmen.

Charles Wright: 8

Coming into Thursday’s meeting saw many pundits and fans alike discuss that the evenings result could very well come down to the battle between reserves. And Swindon’s ever-reliable Charles Wright certainly didn’t disappoint. Ten points from five rides once again proved how vital Charles Wright is to his fellow riders in the main body of the team and Alun Rossiter will be hoping for more of the same from his number six away at Coventry on Monday night.
