PREVIEW: Bristol Rovers vs Swindon Town

Swindon Town make the short trip to Bristol on Saturday looking for their first win at the Memorial Stadium since 2008.

Remarkably, this will be the third time Swindon and Bristol Rovers have met in the league this season after the first home meeting between the two was rained off after an hour with the score at 0-0.

In the rematch Rovers came away with a 2-1 win at County Ground courtesy of a mad minute by Raphael Rossi Branco. Lloyd Jones bundled Swindon into a sixth-minute lead but in the 83rd-minute Branco conceded a penalty that Matty Taylor converted and a matter of seconds later the Brazilian scored an own goal to gift Rovers the win.

Swindon will be looking for their first win in Bristol since 2008, when Simon Cox scored in a 1-0 scoreline, but they have not triumphed over Rovers at all since 2010. The sides have had four full meetings since.

Striker Jon Obika will yet again be unavailable for Swindon as he is still struggling with his knock and Brad Barry will be out as well due to his ankle injury.

Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill will return to full training in the not-too-distant future however the ex-Arsenal left-back will still miss the trip to Bristol - the same applies to Ellis Iandolo.

Anton Rodgers took an accidental knock to the chest in training, after being caught by an elbow when running into somebody, but despite that he will be available for selection.

Bristol Rovers will be without Peter Hartley (foot), but apart from that they are ok.

The match will kick-off at an earlier time of 12:45 on Saturday.
