REVIEW: B&G Jenkins Plumbing & Heating Boiler Service
I had my boiler fitted by B&G Jenkins Plumbing and Heating 6 years ago and was incredibly pleased with the professionalism and their services for many years.
Therefore, I booked them in again this week for my annual service check-up, in readiness for the winter months.
A boiler service may seem like an extra cost but it really is important not only for safety but can also save you money in the long run. It's needed to ensure that your boiler is working safely and efficiently. Your boiler can become less efficient, consume more energy, and increase the risk of a costly fault or even failure if not serviced. A gas boiler service with B&G Jenkins currently is £90 incl. VAT.
I was able to book a date and time that worked well for me and I was given a 2-hour window for when the engineer would arrive. Dave did not disappoint, arriving promptly and with a cheery smile.
Dave was extremely professional and was careful to cover the carpets and the space within the airing cupboard, which houses our boiler before commencing the service. He asked me a few simple questions to establish if we had encountered any concerns with the boiler and having been fitted by B&G Jenkins he was already aware of the age and service history, so he had certainly done his research.
During the boiler service, the engineer will check your boiler and all related parts, as well as check the system ie gas pressure and flow, the controls, check that the central heating and hot water are all functioning properly, and check for any signs of problems i.e. corrosion and air in the radiators. Dave checked the flue in the loft bringing his own ladder to do so and again was very careful to ensure any areas were covered.
The service took around 40 mins in total and Dave was a joy to deal with. A hassle-free and professional service.
