Lotmead Farm is a family friendly activity farm just outside Swindon well known for its fabulous ‘pick your own’ strawberries. So good in fact, it’s the best in Britain - Lotmead won FARMA's ‘Pick Your Own’ of the Year competition this year!
It's FREE to visit any time during the week from 9.30am until 7.00pm from early June, making it the perfect place for a relaxing summer day out.
Lots To Do
With acres of space for kids to run around in, there’s lots to see and do. There’s a Nature Trail that leads to a small lake, a Small Animal Enclosure especially for younger children, a Play Area with climbing frames, swings and slides and of course the farm itself which includes watching the cows being milked every afternoon from the visitors gallery.
Please note: a small fee is charged for combined entrance to the Play Area, Nature Trail, Small Animal Enclosure and Milking Parlour. Click here for details.
Pick Your Own
As well as strawberries, Lotmead offers a great choice of seasonal soft fruits and vegetables including raspberries, gooseberries, sweet blackcurrants, asparagus, potatoes, courgettes, runner beans, sweetcorn, spinach and beetroot at normally cheaper than typical supermarket prices.
There is a redeemable prepayment of £2 per person for picking soft fruit, but this shouldn't end up costing you any more than it did before. Click here to find out more.
Lotmead’s Farm Store sells fresh local produce along with natural dairy foods, jams, fruits and vegetables. It also serves a tasty variety of hot and cold snacks, beverages, salads and sandwiches all freshly prepared each day as well as home baked cakes, ice cream, soft drinks and juices. Conveniently, the store’s seating overlooks the children’s play area making it easy to keep an eye on the kids as they play.
Visitors are welcome to bring their dogs provided they remain on a leash throughout their visit.
