We recommend
Today, we put the spotlight on the recently refurbished Oasis Gym and Leisure Centre who choose to put their members at the centre of their offering with; member-only sessions; exclusive discounts on protein/nutrition and coffee; tailored membership packages and Personal Training sessions. To help you learn more about the Oasis Leisure centre offering we have listed our key considerations when choosing a gym and why the Oasis ticks all the boxes;
1/ Location and parking
Yes, as with where you live the location of your gym is an essential consideration. The harder it is to travel to your gym the less likely you are to visit. The Oasis leisure centre is centrally located, offers plenty of free parking and is accessible by both foot and public transport.
2/ Hours of opening
When it comes to exercise, we are all individual in our preferences and the times in which we choose to work out. The Oasis Leisure Centre offers early opening at 6.30am, therefore is fantastic for dawn risers looking to fit in a workout before starting their working day. And for those who prefer an evening, the gym closes at 10pm, Tuesday – Friday, ensuring you have no excuses for working out.
3/ Equipment availability
Always consider the age, range, volume and quality of gym equipment available at your chosen centre. There is nothing more demotivating than waiting long periods to use equipment in cramped spaces or for your favourite machine to be regularly broken. Due to its recent refurbishment, the Oasis Leisure Centre now offers a range of the latest state of the art equipment for its members alongside dedicated stretching areas.
4/ Class provision
The quality of provision both in equipment and classes is essential when choosing a membership. Ensure the class timetable fits your lifestyle and slots are available at your preferred times. The Oasis Leisure Centre provides online class booking and a varied timetable of disciplines with early morning, lunchtime and evening slots.
5/ Range of facilities
When choosing a gym membership do not be drawn into a false economy of sacrificing facilities for a cheaper monthly rate. Personal circumstances will dictate your key requirements, however, if a swimming pool, indoor sports courts, separate spinning/RPM room, family changing area and junior gym session are on your wish list, the Oasis all under one roof.
6/ Staff availability and qualified advice
A good quality gym will have available qualified staff on hand to advise and guide you with training, toning or confidence building. The Oasis Leisure centre provides exclusive personal training sessions for members and a complimentary PT session from all its personal trainers. All new members will complete an induction, with a fitness instructor and receive advice to help them achieve their fitness goals.
7/ Membership package
When committing to a membership package, it is essential that you read the small print. Do not tie yourself into a long-term contract with excessive termination fees, admin charges and joining fees. Always consider your options carefully and select the package right for you. Oasis Leisure Centre offers various memberships starting for as little as £20.95 with no joining fee in February along with the student, concessionary and corporate rates.
8/ More for your membership
We are all always looking to get more for our money and no less so with our gym membership. Maximise the benefits at minimum cost. By becoming a member of the Oasis Leisure Centre, you can unlock access to exclusive quarterly member events, PT sessions and most importantly a community of support.
