How did you come to work for Oasis Leisure Centre and tell us a little bit about your role?

I was looking for my first job online and decided to apply due to my love for swimming. I am now a casual lifeguard, working around my classes at college.

What do you think makes the Oasis Leisure Centre stand out from its competitors?

The wave machine and the flumes.

What is your favourite facility at Oasis Leisure Centre?

The swimming pool.

What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?

Helping customers.

How do you like to spend your time off?

Swimming for my local swimming club Wroughton ASC.

Describe Swindon in 3 words...

Diverse, busy and growing.

You have a meeting booked that suddenly gets cancelled, giving you a few hours to yourself in Swindon – what do you do?

Go to the Oasis Leisure Centre gym.

What have been your key challenges and how have you overcome them?

My main challenge at the oasis has been dealing with the public and knowing how to assist them correctly.

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

My biggest achievement has been building a house for a homeless family in Romania during a volunteering programme earlier this year.

What are your plans for Oasis Leisure Centre for the future?

I will carry on lifeguarding until I go to university next year.
