Snapped: Storms Hit Swindon

During the small hours of this morning gale force winds and severe downpours pummelled the South West, blowing down trees and causing hefty delays for Monday morning commuters. Despite some minor disruption to transport links around the town, Swindon appears to have avoided the full brunt of the UK Storm. A number of minor roads across Wiltshire have been blocked by trees that have fallen overnight but the council are doing their best to return travel services back to normal, advising people to anticipate the unexpected.
