Snapped: New College Charity Basketball Match

New College Swindon hosted a charity basketball match on Sunday 5th January to raise money for the Philippine Disaster Fund. On November 8th 2013 the Philippines were struck by Typhoon Haiyan - one of the most intense tropical storms to ever make landfall anywhere in the world. The storm brought torrential rain, sustained winds of over 195mph and a storm surge of up to 30 feet that devastated coastal areas. Those who have survived now need urgent help including emergency shelter, clean water and food. New College raised over £300 which will be used to help those in need.
