GALLERY: Hillier Funeral Service Centenary Dinner

Excitingly, on Friday 12th May, we were invited to the Centenary Dinner for Hillier Funeral Service, a local Swindon business celebrating its 100th birthday this year. They hosted a wonderful evening for staff and people who have supported them over the years. Take a look at the snaps below!

To mark such a monumental occasion, Hillier Funeral Services have decided to start up the Hillier Community Fund. The idea behind the fund is to assist local charities with their vital work. The cost-of-living crisis has impacted on people’s ability to donate.

Also, with government cuts, they are hoping they can make a difference by bridging the gap. They are often asked to provide support for local causes, and this is simply them making our commitment to help officially. As you may already now, Hillier Funeral Service already have strong ties with the local community and they hope this will strengthen the relationship.

As a business, they will put £1000 into the fund for every year they have been running and year on year they will continue to add to the fund. For the Centenary Dinner, they invited 10 charities and made the first donations from the fund: ABC Affected by Cancer, Brighter Futures, CALM, Pilgrim Centre, Prospect Hospice, Swindon Carers, Swindon Down's Syndrome Group, Swindon Food Collective, Swomdpm and Gloucestershire Mind and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
