Nick Grimshaw to Host Radio 1 Breakfast Show From Swindon

BBC Radio 1 breakfast show host Nick Grimshaw is heading to Swindon.

Ahead of Londonderry's Big Weekend Grimmy will be hitting the road for his first ever BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show Tour.

The four-date tour will see him broadcast a series of special live shows from previous Big Weekend host towns and cities.

During his time in Swindon, Maidstone and Bangor, Grimmy will broadcast his show live in front of an invited audience at local schools.

In each location, Nick and the rest of the Radio 1 breakfast team will be joined by special guest stars.

Although former X Factor contestants, Union J, have been announced as guests during the Bangor stretch of the tour, the identity of the celebrity joining Nick in Swindon is yet to be confirmed.

Grimmy, who took over the breakfast show from Chris Moyles last September commented: "I can't wait to go wild on tour with some of my favourite pop stars and it'll be great to meet the good listeners of Radio 1."

The tour will kick-off in Bangor on April 29th and conclude in Londonderry on May 13th.
