Movie Dalek to be raffled to raise funds for Pudsey Appeal

A replica Movie Dalek donated by charity Dalek group, Sons of Skaro, will be top raffle prize for a BBC Children In Need event at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon.

The Dalek is of a type designed for the 1965 movie “Dr Who and the Daleks” starring Peter Cushing as Dr Who.

This Dalek raffle draw is the last “hurrah” for Sons of Skaro, which recently closed down and had been raising money for charities including Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and more recently for Children In Need.

Return to Space Station Pudsey is being staged at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon and the villainous alien is being raffled to raise cash for this year’s Children in Need Appeal which takes place on Friday 17th November. The red Movie Dalek will be on show all day at the Space Station and raffle tickets will be available from the Doctor Who merchandise stall (next to the TARDIS), all the proceeds of which will also be going to Children In Need.

The red Movie Dalek was also put on display at a recent unveiling event of the two Lost Daleks, one grey and one gold, which went missing after Space Station Pudsey 2 which took place at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon in 2003 for Children in Need. With help from Project Dalek website and Wiltshire Police both Daleks were located and returned to their custodian John Chapman who lives near Swindon.
