White Collar Boxing: Battle of the Heavyweights

In another exciting night of white collar boxing at M.E.C.A, Neilson Promotions ‘Fight Night VIII’ will see two of Swindon’s toughest heavyweights slug it out for the vacant Swindon Heavyweight Championship belt...

Dave ‘Bam Bam’ Gregory, an experienced MMA and white collar fighter, will take on heavy hitting Dennis ‘the Menace’ Jones in what is likely to be a thrilling and brutal encounter. 

The Neilson’s have a decent heavyweight pedigree with Eddie having fought both Frank Bruno and Joe Bugner as a professional and sons Mark, Tony and Garry having all fought in amateur and white collar heavyweight fights.

In another bout, local favourite Andy ‘Macca’ Mccaffrey makes his debut at the M.E.C.A.  Macca brings a wealth of ring experience to Swindon as a former Kick-Boxing and White Collar Champion and more recently, entering the paid ranks as a Professional Boxer.  Macca returns to the ring with a testing battle against Birmingham’s Stewart Tordoff, also an ex-pro who fought out of ex-world champion Richie Woodhall's stable and has also had numerous amateur and white collar fights.

In an exciting night of White Collar action, other fights include a mouth-watering bout between two undefeated white collar fighters, Luke Boswell and Paul Payne.  Neilson regular Dan Hart looking for his first win against the army’s Gav Towler-Wilson, also on the bill are Ryan Towler-Wilson vs Andy Backinsell, Aidan Hills vs Chris Bull, Jamie Canavan vs Aaron White, Robbie Burton vs Danny Wilson, Vince Ayris vs Chris Jones and Marcin Janecki vs Scott Roberts.

Promoter Mark Neilson said  “We’re putting on a real mixture of experience from ex-pro boxers to first time novices and with a heavyweight title as the main event, this will surely be a great spectacle for the fight fans”.

The main show is strictly over 14's and the VIP and afterparty is strictly over 18's.
