TV Favourite Brings Comedy to the Wyvern Theatre
This month the Wyvern Theatre are bringing you a show that is sure to have you laughing off your seat. TV star Jim Davidson OBE will be taking to the stage with his brand new show.
One of Britain’s greatest ever comedians and the people’s favourite, Jim Davidson OBE returns to the Wyvern Theatre this October with his brand-new show Charlton Nil. Son of a Glaswegian father, born and bred in Charlton, Jim has gone from drummer to window cleaner via shelf stacker, to the stage, where his outrageous record-breaking stand-up routines continue to entertain audiences up and down the country.
Well known to TV viewers as host of BBC TV game shows The Generation Game and Big Break, Jim also holds an OBE for his services to charity and has three coveted Show-business Personality of The Year' Awards - from the Variety Club of Great Britain; The Grand Order of Water Rats and Comic Heritage.
Highlights of his outstanding career have included five visits to the Falkland Islands, and countless engagements throughout the world entertaining British service personnel. In 1999 he travelled to Macedonia to provide comedy to the Forces and in the same year he founded and became leader of The British Forces Foundation charity which aims to promote the well-being and esprit de corps of service personnel.
