ST George’s Day Fun and who will be crowned the winner of the BEST of Swindon Talent Competition?

As part of the ST. George's Day celebrations, inSwindon BID company want to recognise the best talent Swindon has got to offer! The Finalists have now been chosen and the final is THIS Saturday 23rd April at Wharf Green.

The winner of the competition will be chosen on the day by our talent spotting judges and will receive a fantastic prize – the chance to perform at the Swindon Town Centre Christmas Lights Switch on’ – which is attended by over 10,000 people. You will also receive £250 worth of shopping vouchers to spend in the town centre.

Schedule for the ST George’s Day Event:

• 11am Official Opening of the ST George’s Day – Wharf Green.
• ‘LIVE’ Bands on stage, ST. George and his dragon, Court Jester, Punch & Judy, crafts and face painting and lots more!
• 11.45am: The Parade: Meeting at the Town Hall, Cenotaph. The Parade will commence at 12 noon, don’t forget to come along in fancy dress and  bring your English flag!
• 2-4pm: The ‘BEST’ of Swindon Talent Competition – Wharf Green
• 4-5pm: ‘LIVE’ Bands on stage
• 5pm – the event closes

We are also delighted to be hosting the ‘Best of Swindon’ talent show as part of the day’s activities, the competition is aimed at giving Swindon people of all ages a unique opportunity to showcase their skills and talents. We might even find the next Jahmene!”
