REVIEW: Day Out At Farmer Gows

Total Guide experienced a wonderful visit to Farmer Gows this week and we took along our youngest member of The Team, Florence Hutchings (23 months old), to gauge her reaction to the visit. Take a read below as we give our review of a family day out at Farmer Gows.

We found the Farm a wonderful experience for young children. There is so much to do and see.  The `hands-on` experiences include handling the baby chicks, bottle feeding the kid goats, stroking the piglets, egg collecting and the wonderful friendly helpful staff make sure you don`t miss out on any of these activities by coming to find you in the play areas to advise you that these adventures are about to begin.

Trailer rides run from March until October, and there is an adventure playground and sandpit by one barn and another play area and Pedal Tractor arena by the Tea Room.

One of the greatest hits with young Florence was the Indoor Bale Climb. She absolutely loved it, climbing around for ages telling her Grandad to follow and announcing `HIGH` with great pleasure on top of the bales. There is a lovely Tea Room with delicious home-cooked meals/snacks and a well-stocked Gift Shop.

Florence`s verdict was ` I OVE IT'. She hasn`t managed to pronounce the word LOVE yet and says OVE instead; high praise indeed.

We would really recommend Farmer Gows for a memorable and exciting trip for young children and as an added bonus Florence napped for 2 hours when we got home as she was so exhausted.
