Everything you need to know about Minety Festival

What is Minety Festival? What’s transport like? What should I expect? All your questions and more are about to be answered so you can be prepared for this year’s Minety Festival.

What is Minety Festival?

The Minety Music Festival is an annual summer event in the village of Minety, hosting its sixth event. It is three days jam-packed with live music across four stages with over 100 bands and acts. Attendees can enjoy diverse music genres, activities, workshops, delicious food, and refreshing drinks, making it a perfect getaway for music lovers and families alike.

When and Where is it being held?

This epic weekend is running from Thursday 4th July – Sunday 11th July at Salud's Field, Mile Straight Corner, The Common, Minety, SN16 9RH.

Is it family-friendly?

There’s plenty to do and see at Minety Festival for the whole family. There will also be a range of FREE activities in the Kidzone, including:

  • Rock Climbing Wall
  • Rock Climbing Digi-wall
  • Inflatable Slide
  • Assault Course
  • Bouncy Castles
  • Circus Skills Workshops
  • Kids Craft Workshops

On top of this, there's a dedicated Teen Tent catering to adolescents aged 13-17, a group often overlooked at festivals. The tent is equipped with music gear, comfortable sofas, video game consoles, a pool table, and all essential WiFi access!

Are dogs allowed?

Unfortunately, furry friends need to stay at home as the only dogs allowed at assistance dogs.

How does camping work?

Camping is catered for within the festival grounds. Camping areas open at 12:00pm on Thursday 4th July and close at 10:00am on Monday 8th July.

It’s up to a 200m distance from the car park to camping, which is separated into campervans, caravans and motorhome areas as well as a general camping area opposite the main arena. Safety is ensured as the 7m x 7m camping pitches are divided into lanes so emergency services have easier access. Toilets and showers are inside the camping field at not extra charge.

If you choose a Live In Vehicle or have an awning, this needs to be accommodated within a 8m x 5m space. Tickets for Electrical Hook Up for camping and campervans are available, this opens from 6pm, on Thursday 4th July. Camping stoves and raised BBQs are welcomed whereas open fires and ground BBQs are not permitted.

All pitches need to be booked via online request, so a space is guaranteed when you arrive.

Are there volunteering opportunities?

Yes, Minety Festival is worked completely by volunteers as it’s a not-for-profit community. Work a shift and get a free day ticket! There are vacant roles in the following: set-up and site construction, car-parking, bar staff, kid zone, catering, stewarding, crew and site take-down / clean-up. Four charities are being fundraised for this year: Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Naomi House Hospice & Jacksplace, Combat Stress and Kandu Arts. These are all fantastic charities that do great work daily and Minety Festival will be able to support them with your help.
