Snapped: Wiltshire and Great Western Air Ambulances Carry Blood

The sky is the limit for local air ambulance services. The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity and Wiltshire Air Ambulance can now carry out emergency blood transfusions mid-air. On board blood transfusions will benefit seriously ill and injured patients who are desperately in need of replacement blood. Other air ambulances across the country already offer the service. London's Air Ambulance began the scheme in 2012.
