Snapped: Remembrance Service for the Fallen

Over 400 members of the UK armed forces who have died in Afghanistan since 2001 were honoured in a special service held at the Royal British Legion's Field of Remembrance on Friday 8th November. In excess of 40,000 crosses carrying personal messages from loved ones have been planted in Lydiard Park's walled garden as a mark of respect. Emma Hickman, the fiancee of Pte Daniel Wade, who was killed in action back in 2012 was amongst those in attendance. Twenty year old Pte Wade served with 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment and died along with five colleagues when their Warrior armoured personnel carrier came under attack.
