MATCH REPORT: Hull Pirates 2-3 Swindon Wildcats

The Swindon Wildcats earned a well-worked 3-2 win over the Hull Pirates on Sunday evening but the victory was marred by a nasty-looking injury to Oliver Stone.

Stone took a knock to the head which appeared to make the young icer lose conciousness but he was up and talking again once he was transferred to hospital.

In terms of on-the-ice matters, Jason Hewitt got the first goal of the match in the fourth minute before Tomasz Malasinski added to his brace on Saturday with his third strike of the weekend.

Phil Hill, signed recently from the Telford Tigers, gave the Wildcats the lead with his first goal for his new club and soon after Swindon had some breathing space.

Malasinski got his second double in two days to make it 3-1 and earn himself the man-of-the-match award and Swindon the win, even though Jason Chilcott got a second for Hull late on.
