MATCH REPORT: MK Lightning 4-3 Swindon Wildcats

The Swindon Wildcats went down to a 4-3 loss at title-chasing Milton Keynes on Saturday.

Tomasz Malasinski opened the scoring for the Swindon Wildcats though when he remained cool under pressure to slot in the first goal after rounding the Lightning netminder.

MK piled on the pressure for the remainder of the first period but Swindon held firm until part-way through the second.

James Griffin scored with four minutes of period two left and Bobby Chamberlain bagged a second for the hosts before the second batch of 20 minutes was over to turn the score around.

Jonas Hoog got Swindon level again with an amazing long-range effort but they soon found themselves a goal down for a second time after Sam Jones beat Stevie Lyle from a tight angle.

Adam Carr put the score beyond the Wildcats' reach with his goal to make it 4-2.

With 3:40 remaining though Swindon restored some pride with Malasinski's second goal of the night.
