Swindon Wildcats keep hold of Phill Hill

The final name of the #5in5 week has been announced, as the Swindon Wildcats have kept Phill Hill at the club for another year.

Hill originally joined the Wildcats in December and scored seven goals and 17 assists in 28 games for the Cats.

Speaking on Hill's commitment, player/coach Aaron Nell said:

"I'm delighted Phil has come back for another year. He was great when he come to us last season and was a huge part of our team. He was that professional mindset that is hugely important when you’re trying to build a winning team.

“Phil is great example to the young players on our team in the way he handles himself on the ice, in the dressing room and how he prepares for each and every game. I know he enjoyed his time in Swindon last season and is motivated to bring trophies to Swindon this season".

Hill added: "It’s great to re-join the Wildcats. I have been impressed with the organisation and it was a fun club to be a part of last year. There are a lot of positives to build on from last year and it is a club that is going about things the right way.

"This year will be a little of an unknown, but it will be good to start with a pressure of competing for the championship. This will only improve the culture around the club, and with some of the exciting young talent on the roster, it will be good for them to develop under the pressure of having consistency in their game”.
