Left-back Ormonde-Ottewill needed attention from stewards and required a stretcher in second-half stoppage time on Saturday after an incident missed by seemingly everyone, including coaching and playing staff.
Head coach Luke Williams was asked what was wrong with the Arsenal trainee but he had not had the chance to check prior to his post-match press conference.
"I still haven't had a chance (to see what's wrong) because I've come to see you guys (the media)", he said.
"It appears he ended up off the pitch and maybe even hit the advertising boards.
"The players are (were) in the changing rooms and Brandon is (was) in the medical room so I'm going to try and find out now how serious that is and hopefully it's nothing more than superficial"
Captain Nathan Thompson did his media duties a bit later though and had managed to see Ormonde-Ottewill make his way to the changing rooms.
"I've seen him hobble back into the dressing room, it's very early to say, ankles especially have a special way of tricking the mind and feel quite uncomfortable to begin with but touch wood it's not too serious."
Ormonde-Ottewill joins a host of Swindon players on the treatment table with fellow left-back James Brophy nursing a hamstring problem, as is Brad Barry while Jordan Stewart too is recovering from a long-term MCL issue.
Jamie Sendles-White is ruled out for the forseeable future while striker Jon Obika has a neck injury after heading the ball awkwardly in training.
It is not yet clear how long any of Town's injury-striken squad will be available for selection again although Yaser Kasim and Thompson are now good-to-go following ankle and hamstring setbacks respectively.
