Swindon Town loan watch: Tom Smith gets a goal and an assist in Bath City win

Centre midfielder Tom Smith was most definitely the standout Swindon player out on loan this weekend as he played a part in two of Bath's four goals.

Bath City thrashed East Thurrock United 4-0 at Twerton Park and Smith was involved in the first goal that got the rout going as he passed to Opi Edwards who then went on an impressive run before finishing.

Smith directly scored the Romans' fourth and final goal when Bath launtched a counter-attack from inside their own half.

Midfielder Smith latched onto a cleared corner and offloaded to Andy Watkins who put Smith through with a superb through ball, which Smith took in his stride and slotted past the keeper.

Smith's initial loan at Bath was due to expire this week but he has penned a two-month extension at the club and he will now be there until January.

Chippenham drew 3-3 at home with St.Albans City, where Scott Twine played but was not able to get on the scoresheet.

Tommy Ouldridge is no longer at Chippenham, as his loan at the Bluebirds has now expired and he is back at Swindon.

James Brophy's Leyton Orient continue to struggle, as following their 2-1 defeat at Ebbsfleet, they have now only picked up three points from their last 11 games.

Brophy played the full 90 minutes on Saturday but was not involved in the Orient goal.

Jake Evans also played the full match as Farnborough drew 3-3 with Banbury
