Swindon Town have parted company with head coach Jody Morris

Swindon Town have announced that they have parted company with head coach Jody Morris and assistant head coach Ed Brand.

The club have confirmed that the former Chelsea assistant manager has departed the club after 90 days in charge at the County Ground, with Swindon sat 10th in the League Two table.

He ends his spell with four wins, four draws, and ten defeats, a 22.2%-win ratio, the joint-fourth lowest in the club's history.

Gavin Gunning and Steve Mildenhall will take over the running of the first team for the final league game of the season against Crawley Town and former head coach Scott Lindsey on Monday 8th May.

A statement on the club’s website read: “We would like to thank both Jody and Ed for their contribution and efforts since joining the football club, and wish them all the very best in the future.

“Our aim when they took over was to push on and finish the second half of the season strongly on the pitch, but as a club, we haven’t achieved our objectives.

“With just one more league game remaining before we reach the conclusion of the season, we feel now is the right time to take a fresh approach as we look to bring success back to this great club for 2023/24.

“Work is well underway to find our next manager, with an announcement in due course.”
