Super Bowl Party 2018 at Longs Bar

It's the biggest sporting event in the world, so we took an evening out to take part in Longs Bar's Super Bowl LII Party, in association with Swindon Storm.

The Super Bowl is a sporting event that everyone is familiar with. Even though Swindon is thousands of miles away from the action, an occasion as momentous as this can't be ignored. It's no surprise then that Longs Bar, in association with Swindon Storm decided to host a Super Bowl Party fitting of such an event.

Whether you were a hardcore football fan or a casual observer (such as us) everone was welcome at Longs Bar.  Normally considered a cocktail bar by most, Longs is perfectly adept to turning itself in to a sports bar; with nachos, mac and cheese and chicken wings in seemingly constant supply from the kitchen, ready to feed the baying crowds.

Hundreds of people packed out the Old Town venue for Super Bowl LII, which saw the ever-present New England Patrioits take on the underdog Philiadelphia Eagles. We won't spoil the final score here, but it was an incredibly close game with both teams fighting tooth and nail to take home the prestigious trophy.

We had an amazing time cheering on both teams in the Super Bowl Party at Longs, so much so we're thinkng about dropping in on Swindon Storm's next training session! For those of you that still need convincing, here's the best of the social media from such a special night.
