Stevie Lyle departs the Swindon Wildcats

The Swindon Wildcats have confirmed the departure of netminder Stevie Lyle.

In a statement, Swindon Wildcats Managing Director Steve Nell said:

“Upon news the EPL would be folding, all existing contracts were void and needed to be re-structured, including the contract of Stevie Lyle.

"We had offered Stevie a new contract, but he wanted time to consider his options and it was mutually agreed that we would look for a new goalie in case Stevie didn’t return.

"Stevie then informed us he was looking to move elsewhere, and after receiving this news, we then came to an agreement to sign a new goalie who we are excited to be announcing next week.

Everyone at the Swindon Wildcats would like to place on record thanks to Stevie for all his efforts and wish him the best for the future.”
