Race preview: Swindon Robins take on King's Lynn

Swindon will aim for their sixth successive Elite League win as they take on King’s Lynn at the Adrian Flux Arena.

The M&S Van Rental Robins were due to travel to Norfolk last Wednesday, but the meeting fell victim to the weather before they raced to a convincing 55-38 win when the sides met at the Abbey 24 hours later.

They will now aim to complete a quick-fire double over the Stars and restore their spot at the top of the Elite League table.

Team boss Alun Rossiter has called on them to maintain their confident run of form to earn their third successive away win.

Rossiter said: “Things have been going well for us recently, and it was another good win against King’s Lynn at our place last week.

“We just need to keep doing what we’ve been doing and hopefully get another good result from the away meeting.”

Skipper Jason Doyle is set to ride through the pain barrier after emerging from a horror crash in Poland on Sunday without any broken bones.

Fellow Australian Rohan Tungate is also expected to ride following his nasty crash against the Stars at the Abbey last week.

Meanwhile, Grand Prix star Niels-Kristian Iversen, who was due to miss the original staging of the meeting last week, will line-up at No.1 for the hosts whilst Robert Lambert is fit after his crash at Swindon.

KING’S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Mads Korneliussen, Robert Lambert, Kai Huckenbeck, Troy Batchelor, Carl Wilkinson, Lewis Rose.

SWINDON: Jason Doyle, Charles Wright, Rohan Tungate, Nick Morris, Josh Grajczonek, Justin Sedgmen, Stefan Nielsen.
