Website 0330 002 1993A short summary of my questions on trying out different tactical ideas and Reece Devine (you will hear full answers on LSPOD):
Scott Lindsey on where he wants to be after the deadline:
I hope to be the finished article, and get a forward in and maybe a right-back. With no one else leaving.
Scott Lindsey on bids from other clubs:
No offers for any players. From my point of view that is good because I don't want them to go. The window is not shut yet and things can still happen, but I wouldn't change my players for Stockport, for example, despite the money they are spending. Maybe someone does come in for someone, but I would rather they don't. Everybody at the club is aligned on what happens if bids of certain values come in for specific players, but I wouldn't be blindsided by anything.
Scott Lindsey on using his keepers:
I have never liked having a number 1 and a number 2, it is disrespectful to the one who is not playing. I want two keepers who and good enough to start. I hope that Brynn keeps starting because it means he is doing well, but Ward is there if needed.
Scott Lindsey on Lewis Ward:
No bid has been made for Ward. Tomorrow is an opportunity for him to play. He is a good keeper, he is athletic and is a good professional, but he does want to play and it has been frustrating for him with how well Brynn is playing. Brynn came in and had more to do in pre-season and so got the start and has gone from there.
Scott Lindsey on being without McKirdy:
We are hopeful to get one over the line. I think we created opportunities on Saturday and there are goals in the team. Wakeling, Shade, McKirdy, Williams, Gladwin, and Khan could all chip in. Khan's record in the past has been very good, but we feel we are closer to adding a striker.
Scott Lindsey on right-backs:
There is always an option to flip to a back 3 and Darcy has played the last two and done really well. But moving forward we may need to bring someone in in that position long-term. I think Shade and Hutton are more wing-backs and wingers in a back 4. Hutton can play there and Shade maybe too, but closer to wingers than full-backs.
Scott Lindsey on physicality:
We may have the physicality but they will have plenty of players who are good on the ball and both teams will be able to keep possession well.
Scott Lindsey on playing an under 23 side:
The personnel change a lot, so it is harder to expect who will start, but we are hopeful that we know how they will set up and what they will try and do. But we want to focus on us.
Scott Lindsey on players coming in to a new-look side:
It is always a difficult one because they haven't played together that much. But they play together in training all the time and hopefully they will be properly structured and ready to go after training.
Scott Lindsey on what he wants from the game:
Hopefully winning. But it is a great thing for players who haven't had too much game time lately and then rest a few players and organise a training week which prepares starters for Gillingham.
Scott Lindsey on injuries:
Nothing really to report on that front. Iandolo is about 2 weeks from full training, but nothing new to add.
Scott Lindsey is here and we are ready to go
I am in! I thin training delayed things slightly, but we are here and raring to go.
Just waiting for the meeting to begin, shouldn't be long.
There could be some Darcy chat today (just a hunch) so if you haven't then it could be a good time to read my article about why and how he is playing right-back.

I know because my Twitter notifications haven't stopped telling me that some people are not too pleased with the start, Lindsey, and the new players. However, I genuinely was really impressed on Saturday watching from the away end and think that as time goes on the team will keep getting better and hopefully a few others can impress tomorrow night and people like Tomi Adeloye can start to get some confidence.
I know how much everyone loves the PJT and I too am excited to get going tomorrow night against Palace's kids. Although, it should be an interesting opportunity to learn about some fringe players and academy lads if nothing else.
Good afternoon all, I hope you enjoyed the first 83 minutes of the Stockport game and my controversial Twitter takes. I am not in the County Ground, but rather at home and will soon be jumping into the Teams call to speak with Scott Lindsey.
