PLAYER RATINGS: Swindon Town (3) v (0) Macclesfield Town

SWINDON TOWN tasted victory for the third game in a row as they ran out 3-0 winners against Macclesfield Town at the County Ground earlier this afternoon to move up to 2nd place in the League Two standings. Total Sport Swindon's Rajan Hothi gave his Robins player ratings following the action.

GK: Luke McCormick (7)

Town's 'keeper wasn't called into action too often as Swindon dominated, and he did what was required. Will be happy to keep a clean sheet for the second time this season.

RB: Rob Hunt (8)

Looked assured at the back and was more often than not involved in Swindon's attacking build-up. Played a major role in the second goal, executing a nice pass into the path of Doyle who slotted home for Town's second just before half-time. Hunt was then on hand to assist Doyle again for Swindon's third.

CB: Dion Conroy (7)

Town's skipper swept up well at the back and will be pleased that the hosts kept their first clean-sheet since the opening day victory over Scunthorpe United.

CB: Mathieu Baudry (7)

The Frenchman once again did well defensively, but there were a few loose passes from the experienced defender. Baudry is still a good League Two centre-back but does have his shaky moments.

LB: Ellis Iandolo (7)

Kept his spot in the first-team following his impressive showing at Leyton Orient last time out, and did well again at left-back. His attacking play caused problems for the Macclesfield's back-line

CM: Anthony Grant (8)

Despite no pre-season under his belt, Grant impressed on his home debut and didn't shy away from a challenge. Keeping possession well and dominating the midfield battles, Grant showed the Town fans why Wellens was desperate to acquire his services on deadline day.

Made a crucial challenge just after Swindon scored to prevent Macclesfield from potentially restoring parity. Was replaced by Adam May for the final ten minutes and received a deserved standing ovation.

CM: Danny Rose (8)

Like he did against Orient, Rose looked solid in the middle of the park and alongside Grant, had a good afternoon in midfield. His delivery caused mayhem in the Macclesfield box which eventually saw Anderson score Town's first.

RM: Keshi Anderson (8)

Linked up well with Doyle and Yates and was on hand to slam home from close range to break the deadlock in front of the Town End to bring his tally to three goals for the season.

Could've bagged his brace on the hour-mark, but his effort was well kept out by Macclesfield's 'keeper. Anderson has really stepped up this season and looks to be a massive asset for Town as they push for promotion.

LM: Lloyd Isgrove (8)

Fast becoming a fan-favourite, Isgrove produced another exciting showing. He swapped wings with Anderson during the first-half as the pair caused trouble for the visitors full-backs.

His pace and array of skills saw him once again cause havoc for the opposition, and if he can stay fit for a majority of the season he will no doubt be a key player in Swindon's promotion challenge. Made way for Kaiyne Woolery after 82 minutes and was given a standing ovation by all three stands.

ST: Eoin Doyle (9)

Should've probably put Town ahead after 27 minutes but made a mess of a header from a corner. However, he found his scoring touch just before half-time as his powerful finish into the top corner put Wellens' side 2-0 upThe Bradford loanee bagged his brace with 15 minutes left, unleashing a powerful strike into the top corner to secure the three points.

ST: Jerry Yates (8)

Pressed Macclesfield well and his good work and pass into Hunt saw the right-back find Doyle who tucked home Swindon's second. Forced mistakes from Macclesfield with his tireless pressing and put in a very good performance despite not getting on the scoresheet.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

Adam May (N/A)

Didn't have too much time to impact the game with Swindon already 3-0 ahead and cruising.

Kaiyne Woolery (N/A)

Like May, didn't have too much time to impact the game. Woolery is a great option from the bench.

Tom Broadbent (N/A)

Didn't affect the game after replacing Conroy.
