PLAYER RATINGS: Swindon Town (2) v (1) Walsall

SWINDON TOWN ran out 2-1 winners against Walsall in difficult conditions courtesy of goals from Eoin Doyle and Diallang Jaiyesimi. Total Sport Swindon's Rajan Hothi gives his Robins player ratings.

GK: Steven Benda (6)

Benda was once again quick off his line to relieve any pressure on the Town back-line. Made a mess of the free-kick that resulted in Walsall's goal, but redeemed himself with a fantastic save at the end to ensure Swindon won

LB: Dion Donohue (7)

Donohue has slotted into the left-back role nicely since his arrival to SN1, and did a decent job again. Likes a cross-field pass and attempts this regularly with success.

CB: Zeki Fryers (6.5)

Made a few key challenges in the first half and did well alongside Baudry to close the game out. Looks to be forming a good partnership with Baudry, and Zakuani may find it hard to get back into the starting XI.

CB: Mathieu Baudry (7)

Had to bail Swindon out on a couple of occasions due to some poor passes, and endured a solid showing. Kept Adebayo quiet, and made some needed tackles as Town looked to keep the Saddlers at bay.

RB: Rob Hunt (7)

Hunt put in another good showing as the right-back struggles to put a foot wrong. Since arriving in the summer, Hunt has been very consistent, and he played a big role in making sure Walsall didn't grab an equaliser.

LM: Diallang Jaiyesimi (7)

Looks a threat with his pace, but struggled to release the ball at times in the first half. However, just a minute into the second-half Jaiyesimi put Town 2-0 up after some good battling. Was replaced by Kaiyne Woolery after 58 minutes.

CM: Michael Doughty (5.5)

Not a great afternoon from Doughty who struggled to pick out the right passes. We've seen the quality he has, but since coming back into the side, Doughty hasn't been able to showcase his quality enough.

CM: Anthony Grant (8)

Anthony Grant has proved to be quite the signing since his deadline day move, and he impressed once more in the middle of the park. A battling performance from the Shrewsbury-loanee saw him earn the Man of the Match award. Swindon should look at extending his stay at SN1 in January.

RM: Keshi Anderson (7)

Anderson was the only addition to the side from last week, as he replaced Lloyd Isgrove. Linked up well with Yates for the first goal and provided the assist for Doyle. Came off injured after 17 minutes.

ST: Jerry Yates (7)

Started the game partnering Doyle up front, but was shifted out to the right following Anderson's injury which saw Swindon change to a 4-3-3. Played a big role in the opener as he combined well with Anderson. Battled well and as always, pressed the opposition back-line well.

ST: Eoin Doyle (7.5)

Eoin Doyle netted his 14th goal of the season after just four minutes with a tap-in and impressed up top again. Held the ball up well on a couple of occasions, and the Bradford-loanee is really finding form under Wellens.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

Jordan Lyden (6.5)

Replaced Anderson after 17 minutes. Put in a good shift in midfield and made a number of excellent passes despite the poor conditions.

Kaiyne Woolery (6.5)

A decent showing from Woolery as he pressed the tiring Walsall defence and used his pace to Town's advantage. A much better cameo from Woolery.
