Website 0330 002 1993Full-time: Swindon 3 (Hepburn-Murphy 8', 40', Tomlinson 78') Harrogate 0
Four minutes added on *obligatory where did that come from*
85- Darcy's first act is to hit a thunderous low drive, which Oxley pushes behind for a corner. 3-0.
84: OFF- Austin, Hepburn-Murphy, Williams
ON- Darcy, Shade, Adeloye
78- Scrappy as they come. Tomlinson gets behind Harrogate and his cross deflected off a defender and back off the full-back and over Oxley before a defender got back but couldn't stop the ball crossing the line. 3-0.
GOAL! Swindon 3 (Tomlinson 78') Harrogate 0
77: OFF: Sims, Muldoon
ON: Thomson, Daly
74: OFF: Wakeling
ON: Tomlinson
71- Wakeling is now down injured. This is beyond a joke at this point, but he looks like he might be ok. 2-0.
69- Swindon are starting to make some smart decisions here as they are choosing to keep the ball instead of making mad runs on the counter. It is just nullifying Harrogate and stunting their momentum. I am thankful as much as impressed. 2-0.
63- Typical Swindon. Iandolo butchers a back pass and then gets beaten for pace by Muldoon. He gets a shot off, but it is straight at Brynn. 2-0.
61- I don't like this one bit. Grant beats Kadji and flashes a cross straight through the goal mouth that Wakeling hooks clear. This is not even slightly comfortable and it should be. 2-0.
59- From that free-kick Swindon get the ball away and McEachran nearly sets RHM in behind, he beats the defender for pace, but his touch lets him back in and Harrogate manage to clear. 2-0.
58- Wakeling gets booked for a foul just inside the Swindon half. Harrogate are putting this in the box. 2-0.
57- The Kadji sub is looking rather unwise right now. He is playing like a midfielder and is going out to things instead of holding position. Clayton needs to get in his ear and get him to stay in position. 2-0.
54- This is too open. I know fans hate it, but Swindon need to slow this down and pass around the back for a bit as they are giving Harrogate space to attack and there is really no reason to do that. 2-0.
53- One of the worst crosses you will see. A much more open start to the half as Williams slips Wakeling in down the left, he has RHM in the middle, but balloons the ball over the Town End. 2-0.
51- Harrogate go close. The visitors get an overload on the left and substitute Grant takes a shot, but it goes wide of the upright. 2-0.
49- Had to be a goal. Austin got the ball in the box, but his touch allowed the 'keeper to get to him. The ball fell to Hutton and his shot was cleared off the line. 2-0.
48- Harrogate look to be pressing a bit more at the start of this half, which could leave more space in behind or more likely punish a ponderous Swindon. 2-0.
The players are back out for the second half.
I will tell you all something for free (as unlike the Adver, we don't charge for anything) Swindon will take up George McEachran's one-year extension in the summer and immediately sell him. The guy is too good for League Two and has played some breath-taking passes in that first half. We need to sign more England youth internationals that are manager coached at youth team level as this is two years in a row it has worked.
Half-time: Swindon 2 Harrogate 0
45- Swindon are now playing 343 with Wakeling operating as a left wing-back. Really makes you think. 2-0.
45- So close. McEachran with a peach of a ball out to RHM. He finds Wakeling and his ball across is just palmed out of the path of Austin. 2-0.
45- A quick look at free agent centre-backs has brought up Paul Downing and Leon Legge. Maybe we should register Gunning. 2-0. Kadji has only just come on after Brennan was stretchered off. 2-0.
45- OFF: Brennan
ON: Kadji
45- Three minutes have been added on *obligatory where did he get that from*. 2-0.
45- The stretcher is coming out for Brennan. He went down instantly after an awkward turn and this is yet another defensive injury for Town. It never rains but it pours. I think they might need to just sign any old free agent centre back at this rate. 2-0.
44- Brennan is down and it doesn't look good. Swindon don't have a centre-back on the bench other than Kadji as a makeshift one. 2-0.
40- RHM at the double. Brennan opted not to launch it at the back and instead kept possession. Town kept the ball and worked it down the left. Iandolo and Wakeling interchanged passes before a cut-back to RHM, whose deflected shot crawled over the line. 2-0.
GOAL! Swindon 2 (Hepburn-Murphy 40') Harrogate 0
37- Swindon get lucky. After a few botched clearances, Olaigbe gets the ball on the edge of the area, has the option to pass but chooses to run and fortunately dribbles against McEachran. Town finally get it clear. 1-0.
34- RHM is the League Two Nunez. Everything he does is a gamble. Is it a brilliant run? Possibly. Has he mis controlled a slow pass and run out of play? Equally likely. 1-0.
31- Should have been two. Cain slices Harrogate open with a visionary pass through the defence, Hutton cuts back to Wakeling. He shifts the ball and hits over the top. 1-0.
29- Harrogate have been very wasteful in this first half. Their defending has been very rocky and they keep punting the ball straight back to Swindon. Yes, you guessed it, this ends 2-1 Harrogate. 1-0.
27- Eastman gets booked for a horrid challenge on RHM. Harrogate picking up a fair few bookings in this first half. Watch Swindon get a player sent off. 1-0.
25- First shot for Harrogate. Olaigbe wriggles past a few on the left and has a shot that Brynn gets up to catch. 1-0.
20- Chants of "off, off, off" as Muldoon brings down McEachran, but he just gets a caution. 1-0.
16- As usual the Swindon faithful are getting very irritable at the mere suggestion of a pass that doesn't go forwards. But they do have a point sometimes as Brennan is turning down passes to Hutton often. Hutton go brrrrrrrr is the game plan, so let's not get fancy, because we ain't. 1-0.
13- Falkingham goes into the book for a tackle on the halfway line. 1-0.
12- Thankfully it came to nothing but RHM just scythed a ball back to Brynn and it went out for a corner to Harrogate. Swindon managed to clear. 1-0.
10- Swindon have got their confidence now. McEachran hits a beautiful volley out to Iandolo, he cross first time and it is just above the head of Wakeling. 1-0.
8- The first time Swindon really venture forwards they score. Hutton receives the ball on the right in space, delivers a cross and RHM heads it across goal and in. 1-0.
GOAL! Swindon 1 (Hepburn-Murphy 8') Harrogate 0
7- I feel that Jody Morris needs to buy a bigger coat. His barely makes it to his waist and just makes him look cold. These are the kind of fashion reviews you come here for, right?
5- The raucous County Ground atmosphere strikes again. You could hear a butterfly flap its wings in here. 0-0.
2- It looks like Swindon are going with quite a fluid front four in a 4231. Williams has already taken up positions on both touchlines. 0-0.
1- Harrogate get us underway. 0-0.
We have just observed a minutes silence for the people of Ukraine and we are ready to go.
Harrogate need to secure themselves a new shirt sponsor. Their kits are quite nice aside from the huge red square in the middle that ruins everything.
The players are on the field.
The Swindon windsock is going to be in full effect today, the sprinklers water is being blown over the Arkells Stand. This could make for an interesting day, when Swindon would like for it to be routine.
You see this a lot from away teams, but Harrogate are currently warming up their back four by tossing high balls into them. Have they not seen a Swindon game in the last two years? You don't need to work on that, those are freebies.
This game is a good chance for Swindon to start looking a bit more convincing in Morris. Harrogate have one win in ten and are going to let Town keep the ball. They have had a bunch of problems in the last few weeks, but not looking very aggressive in possession has been one of them. With a few more attacking options today, they need to show they can break teams down.
It is slightly tough to work out the Swindon shape. It will be one of 4231 or 433, depending of where Williams fits in as he could be anything from an 8, 10, or play wide left.
I must say, all of a sudden that Swindon bench looks much stronger. Depending on fitness levels, all six of the outfielders could make a difference.
Harrogate have made no changes and almost always play 442, so I expect they will look like this:
Oxley
Foulds Eastman O'Connor Sims
Olaigbe Sutton Falkingham Pattison
Armstrong Muldoon
Harrogate Town XI:
Oxley, Falkingham, Olaigbe, Sims, O'Connor, Pattison, Sutton, Muldoon, Armstrong, Foulds, Eastman
Subs: Giles, Burrell, Thomson, Angus, Grant, McArdle, Daly
Swindon Town XI:
Brynn; Hutton, Brennan, Clayton, Iandolo; McEachran Cain; Williams, Hepburn-Murphy, Wakeling; Austin
Subs: Copland, Tomlinson, Adeloye, Darcy, Jephcott, Kadji, Shade
Based on the under-18 line-up for today, I think Anton Dworzak will be on the bench as he is not involved. But more importantly, we have a player called Gonzales and we need to make sure he becomes good enough.
The 25th February is a good day for Town fans. Alex Pollock of TrustSTFC has pointed out that today is the 10th anniversary of Jed McCrory taking ownership of the club.
We are 15 minutes from the line-ups being released and it would be fair to say Swindon have had a few more set backs this week. Khan is out for five matches through suspension and FBT will be on the side lines for a lengthy period after coming off injured against Salford. On the positive side, RHM is back from suspension and there is a chance of involvement for Jonny Williams after he was passing protocols earlier this week, but he might still be too far off to play.
Good afternoon everyone. After a pair of away games, Swindon are back at the County Ground against struggling Harrogate. Jody Morris will hope to follow up last week's win with his first at home.
